It is still a mystery to me . Frankly I have little faith in intermediate modulus or high modulus graphite or Boron and any other number of technologies if the the design is not up to par it matters very little about the graphite content .
Glass rods are a prime example of this. The last fly rods I had in fibreglass where the old philipson blanks and the Lamiglass .
Both very similar in action to the medium fast bamboo rods of Hardy and in fact similar to the hexagonal graphite rods of Bruce and Walker.
I doubt the glass rods would have any where near the tensile strength of any of the medium modulus let alone the im12 graphite.
For me it is not about the material but how the rod performs.

I am in Burlington
And the Fenwick is a three piece Rod. The Fenwick was never really used as I prefer the hardy I have over this.
cheers

It is a Rod that was OEM for a place in the USA . The anglers roost . The factory I picked it up from makes numerous rods for different OEM suppliers , mostly in Europe and a couple from New Zealand .

Sail had this Sage 7wt on for half price today so it was only $300 . The guide pants and boots where something my wife picked up for me while I was away . Was looking for a larger line weight Rod but I actually have a few heavier rods so the 7 wt was actually not a bad choice .that is untill I actuall started looking at how many rods I own . Oh well at least I save money by not playing golf.
