Please please please I can't stress this enough. Hold fish how they swim. When fish are in the water they don't feel the forces of gravity that we as humans have become accustomed too. Hold fish like that not supporting the belly and literally the guts of the fish puts TREMENDOUS stress on them. So much so it can permanately harm them.

I love my current shimano one, only problem is today it got tangled a few times on several casts, but I think the reason behind this was perhaps I put too much line on the reel.. going to try removing quite a bit off and see if the problem persists.

 another thing you might want to consider is that line has memory and if it doesn't go on the reel the same way it came off the spool then it could tangle on you
