Tried using a 1/4oz Dardevle Spoon on my fly rod today at an undisclosed GTA spot, kept getting snags, lost a few lures but on the 7 or 8th try I hooked on a 5lb pike! Never caught a pike using a fly rod before, pretty intense. Thanks to tips from this forum

it is certainly a unique approach, did you use a spinning reel or fly reel?

well being that spoon is a popular pike lure...I think no matter what setup you used having a spoon at the end of your line will get you some pike.
