Posted by I always find it funny that people have to go deep to find walleye this time of year. I usually fish weed flats jerk baiting for walleye. Once i've located the aggressive ones. I'll slow down the fishing with ripping buck tails tipped with a gulp minnow. If you don't find them in the weeds, work the edges with a crank bait. If you can get a bait that will ride just above the weeds ticking it. I think you'll have luck. Hope this helps
