Check out the classifieds on that other site. I picked up a mint Islander (spooled with backing & line) for $250 a while back. There was a new in the box  Rapala for $120 not long ago. There are always deals to be had. Good Luck!

I think the gram rating on your float is about what you'll need regardless of shotting pattern. You only want the coloured portion of your float above the waterline.
