We all should be happy that we have the angling opportunities we have. So many options in terms of where to fish and species of fish to catch. Not to many places on earth like what we have here. Some of the tribs are heavily pressured, but luckily there is more than one lake O trib. I think sometimes we forget how lucky we are. If you do your part to practice proper fishing etiquette and conservation, and try to pass it on to younger anglers, then the future will be even better.

#291505 St. Croix Avid

Thanks for the advice guys! 9'6" was the longest Avid they had available, I could always order a longer rod online. Bass pro offers every length available. I like to cast lures, so I was aiming for a rod I could cast lures and float with. But your right a fast action rod isn't the best for that. In the past I've wasted a lot of roe and live bait bc it will fly right off the hook when I cast. Almost all my rods are fast action, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to go with something different.

Rusty, just try to ignore those comments.....I've gotten some trophy fish in my life and I usually post them on Facebook, and there are always people who accuse me of photo shopping. At first it really bothered me, but now I've learned to just ignore their stupid comments, which are from jealousy anyways. And I still post pics, because I'm proud of the fish I catch.
