I decided to head out for my long awaited pike season opener. And it was not very good. I saw a single Pike but didn't see anything else. no bowfin, carp and bass that I'm used to seeing. we starting at centre island and walked all the way to wards casting along the way but there was nothing. Ontario place seems like a promising location cause of there dense weed bed. I'm considering heading out there in a couple of week. if people do see or catch fish at centre island feel free to let me know.

Hey everyone. 

Its about that time of year again where i get exited about catching pike and bass.

Last year my luck wasn't so great at the islands. I saw tons of carp and bass. I also saw bowfin, long nose gar, bullhead, and very large pike. Unfortunately the few times i went last year, i caught nothing. I had a couple snapped lines but never brought anything in.

If anybody has any advice or knows any hotspots they are willing to share it would be much appreciated. I also have some knowledge of the islands I'm willing to share if anyone wants it. 

Im also wondering about that trout pond on the island. I've heard that they are fish in there, yet I'm not 100% sure. If anyone has any info about that as well, that would be helpful

Ive been making visits over the past couple days to see if there are any salmon running. haven't seen any of them just yet. does anyone know when the salmon run will start. last year i caught 3 over 25lbs. and would like to do it again.

i just need to know when they start

ive heard some pretty crazy things to use as bait. including spoons, xraps. but i dont fly fish. and i dont know whats good to fish for salmon with this year. ive heard about people using shrimp. but is that legit?

last year i fished the Don, i caught 8 salmon, (7 chinook and 1 atlantic) was unreal. i wanted to know when people start catching so i can get right in the action. if you wana know hotspots along the river ill let you know
