hello everyone,

ive been reading these forums for a while and finally decided to join. 

I moved up here from southern california 4 years ago, and have been discovering new ways to enjoy my lifelong hobby ever since. Last year I decided to buy a fly rod and try to brave the trout and salmon runs, which is something totally new to me. I have been mostly exploring west tribs, trying to land something, but have not had any luck.

unfortunately, all my friends here are not fishermen and I just dont know where to go (like how far upriver i need to explore, etc..). I know i am new here, and this kind of info isnt just given away to anyone, but just a general idea would help. I work about 65-70 hours a week, so i dont have a lot of time to explore, but id say ive spent at least 60+ hours since october trying my luck.

Hi everyone,

Ive been fishing for most of my life. i am pretty new to ontario and am now enjoying what it has to offer. i have been getting into fly fishing over the last year and trying to wrap my head around salmon and trout runs (we dont get these things back home)

im excited to learn and hope i can contribute too!
