Sorry to hear that. Especially since it's in my neck of the woods. The most you can do with these idiots is remind them that these practices will result one day in there being no fish left. I always observe recreational fisherman (if you call them that) keeping out of season bass or filling buckets with whatever swims. I just try to make them feel uncomfortable enough to leave. It's a shame how selfish people are but not a surprise. Mnr can't be relied upon. There's no funding left for them. The liberals are so far in debt, natural resources protection is the last thing theyre worried about. I Can't even remember the last time I ran into a c.o. who's to stop these morons? A couple more months till the salmon run. Then the circus really begins.

Tube jigs with the eyelet centered are a good bet for vertical jigging. That way they balance and hang horizontally during the pause. You can find them with small rattles built in which I like. The sebile vibrato is a really versatile vertical jigging spoon. Pick one up and give it a try. We do well with them for lakers thru the ice. Jigging raps and snap raps are a safe bet too. Good luck. I've always wanted to fish there. Hear it's epic

Hate those things. Gives me the shivers just thinking about it. As long as you check yourself out after going through wooded areas and remove the tick before it's been attached for 24 hrs the threat of contracting Lyme disease is very low. It also has to be a certain kind of tick that carries the bacteria. Careful when removing then as they burrow their heads right into your skin which can break off and cause infection. Def tuck pants into socks and use bug spray. The range of these ticks has been increasing year by year due to milder winters in (last 2 excluded) so they may exist where they have previously never been encountered
