Fishing Uber style

Hi all

 

Im curious too see if ther4es anyone on OFF , that might be willing to help me out. Im looking to do some fishing around and just outside the GTA . While ill be hitting the islands and grenadier pond quite a bit, it would be nice to hit other places I can no longer access without a vehicle. Places such as Glen Haffy, port dover ( may perch runs) ...parkbus used to have a run to glen haffy but has discontinued that run. maybe you can suggest a favourite place..

 

I would be more than willing and very happy to pay for gas, tims coffee, and even breakfast-lunch :)

Would be nice to meet other OFF users socially. I would love to meet and get to know enough fisherman to maybe set up other outings like charting a boat to fish lake ontario  salmon or lake erie pickerel

 

Thoughts or feelings...looking forward to the replies

Total Ban on Scugog walleye as of Jan 1st?

Hi all I stumbled accidentally on an online report that as of Jan 1st 2016? Fishing for walleye is prohibited for the entire year with the possibility of the ban being extended into 2017. Has anyone else seen this report or does anyone have any additional info or confirmation? There were multitude or reasons from over harvesting to reproduction dropping off to , not sure what the term is low oxygen phenomenon? Curious to see if muskie are included on the ban as well. I'll keep scouring, if anyone has any info, be nice to know cheers jp

Hi all , Just wanted to say hello and intro myself. I have been fishing ontario waters for about 40 years off and on . I lost a decade to medical issues , but am back now..Im using fishing as part of my therapy. Im mostly restricted to urban fishing at the moment in the GTA, but do manage to get out of town once or twice a year if Im lucky...have plenty of questions ill be posting ( after researching the threads first) but from what Ive read so far this seems like a pretty cool social group. Hopefully I'll be lucky to meet some of you over time ( I do much fishing on my own usually, would be nice to meet a few people) I hope to have some kind of profile up in a few days if theres an area for it cheers jp
