Tks for the input, TI.
Only been to the Grand once and that was a lifetime ago ... barely remember.
If I can ever get an entire day to myself, that's a place I'd like to go.
Cheers

Tks, S4S.
Dont understand why maps of Caledon dont distinguish betw public and private land.
MapArt, etc maps of Toronto colour public parkland, etc in green, so u know u can fish there (unless ministry regs say otherwise) and then its just a matter of finding out if there is a lot in the park or legal nearby street parking.
Cheers

Tks, LogJam.
Screw it, gonna ask anyway (lol): were u above, east, or west of the Forks? Couple ppl have told me they were (politely) told that they were trespassing - think one guy was close to Erin and the other near Belfountain (sp?)
Cheers

In Topic: New setup - what else is needed.

Might be a bit late now, but will add one more thing: if u have just two setups, make one a 5 or 6 (which will be okay for pretty much all southern Ont trout) and the other a 9 wt (with a large arbor reel that has a strong disc drag), which u can use for salmon, steelhead, pike, and bass.

Tks for the good advice, GB and fishfreak.
While it would be great to find some other good spots for browns, managed to catch some in Forks Pk last year. Since we ARE talking about fly fishing for spooky, smaller, res trout on light gear, even bagging one an outing is nice.
Now on the hunt for brookies (mebbe I ought to change my username lol), but have heard from several ppl that u can only find them quite a bit north and west of the Forks. Time to do pre-season research
Btw, Graham, caught ur appearance on NFF where u & Colin fished the Credit and found ur tip about using coloured line instead of an indicator for nymphing very useful.
Again, tks, guys. Cheers
