Vintage Blanchard By Algonquin fly Rod has no markings to show Wt.

I am wondering if anybody here knows a good way to determine what wt fly reel i should use on this rod.

I just got this for 20 dollars. It is in phenomenal condition and it feels great in my hand. I am painfully eager to buy a nice reel to go along with it but I am hesitant due to the fact that I do not want to buy the wrong size.

The length of the rod starting from above the cork handle is roughly 7.6 ft

the thickest part of the rod at the base is at around 2 inches circumference.

the thinnest part of the rod around the tip is around .5 inches circumfurence.

I can not tell if it is fibreglass but due to the time period of its creation I believe it is.

I am certain this rod is at least over 4 decades old, finding information on this has been very difficult.

I turn to you in hopes someone can give me a sort of estimate or a reliable method I can do myself.
