Uh ... no. What your describing (males following a hen and being very aggressive, as you said in your first post) is what happens on the redds. And, if you're seeing fish clearly enough to be able to tell male from female, then yeah you're hanging around the redds.

Your photos are awesome, thanks for sharing these. If you want big bull sharks you need to go fish the pass at Boca Grande. They're so thick in there it's almost impossible to land a tarpon now.

It's not like fishing suddenly improved 100x when they started stocking Atlantics. If anything, it's become worse. The river is full of silt because of the farmland. Erosion isn't only from urban sprawl. It starts with cutting down trees to make farm fields.

You can't buy largemouth bass, alive or dead. They're game fish, and it is illegal to buy or sell them. Read the regs.
