Lake run would be fish coming in from the lake if u were fishing a river/stream. Resident u would find farther up river above dams where the fish stay all yr. lake fish are usually bigger then the resident fish.

Last night on the grand in brantford. I probably fish 4-5 nights a week if anyone wants to fish let me know. Fish during the day if I'm off wrk also.

Tried new port rd yesterday no luck with carp or catts. Few suckers caught. Can't wait for river to drop again.

Not to familiar with up that far but but there should be some browns around I believe they stock conastoga area. I think there's crappie around Kitchener also. Everything else is closed I believe. Not sure about catts n carp up that way.

Not much around my area. Everything is closed after tomorrow. Trout at the end of the month and now catfish and carp till then.

The bait could be acting different for sure. Maybe it's thinner so it's dropping in the water column that extra half ft. Or maybe that cast the fish was jus there. And I'm sure 10lb fluro can be seen under water more then 4lb. That's my input. I'm not an expert tho.

I use 10lb mainline (silver thread) and a 8lb leader. Don't really like using a lighter leader b/c of snags u can garentee the leader is going to break. Get 8lb leader in the thinest diameter u can find. 10lb mainline is good for steelhead n salmon. U can use lighter mainline but the bigger fish...

Sry guys. Didn't mean to start anything. I jus asked for some water conditions on a river, I shouldn't of named it (my apologies). I live 3hrs away n didn't want to make the drive if it was crazy bad conditions. I never said fishing was hot there so everybody come and join. Good luck fishing...

I take one outting worth of eggs(not cured) and put them in saran wrap,(form a ball) twist the wrap so the is no air in the wrap. Take one more wrap n wrap again. Then wrap in tin foil and haven't had any issues with freezer burn.
