I got an R type but i'll be returning it because its broken already , I knew the drag or w/e you call it on this reel felt wierd in the store and now it just plain doesn't work, if I exchange it I'll go for a drifter, even though its hard to trust rapala now.. at least I get a 1 year warranty...

i grabbed an r type from le baron, still have 10 days to exchange for a drifter or aventa, considering trading up to a drifter but I dont know if its worth it tbh, they're both machined, 2 apec bearings, aluminum, to me they basically look the same

the net is good, but it has its downsides, for instance most of the articles available online are aimed at pacific northwest steelheaders, and even the resources i've found that talk about the North East specifically have been mostly geared to the US, even though they are great lake tribs...
