    Killarney smallmouth, nearly a record!

not to kill your buzz but that fish is dead. was out of the water for almost 3 minutes and ya dropped it flat on its head. should have just mounted it. spend 20 dollars at walmart and get a little basket net and you can keep him in the water while you taking your video

    ***Early August Salmon Run Confirmed***

if you guys are getting bored of the big lake o boots in the rivers try georgian bay/huron salmon. they are much smaller and its a much more manageable exhilarating fight. opposed to just wearing out your arm on a big lake o boot that has been dogging it for 5 minutes straight.

    Salmon tactics

you can rig using a 3 way, but most prefer to drift right on the bottom so just use mainline>float>shot>swivel>leader>small splitshot>fly

    Salmon tactics

let me guess you always hook them in the corner of the mouth... your worms work because they are buoyant and you weight it about a foot up so it floats horizontally in the river, and flosses the fish. why would a salmon eat a pink worm

    Salmon tactics

force feed hahahah , east trib salmon do hit.... some what...... when they first come in the river. I've got them stripping wooly buggers and the odd time on roe .... coho's will smoke a slowly striped minnow pattern if you can sift through the kings..... if you want real action fish big rivers...

    ***Early August Salmon Run Confirmed***

what about the niagara and the notty? big rivers always get runs first (or at least fish nosing up). runs are not consistent with the year before what so ever, late spring late run, early spring early run typically. but with a summer like this who knows, some people are already getting them from...

    ***Early August Salmon Run Confirmed***

probaly will get skunked, there at a lot of factors to get salmon this early in the year. don't jump the gun and end up getting discouraged when they do start to come in in 2 weeks

First bow on the fly and it was in London!

thats a steelhead, check out A PERFECT DRIFT GUIDE SERVICE website, they take a ton of photos of ontario resident rainbows and they are much shorter and stockier than that and have much different colour variations. with the high water this year we seen some steelhead yesterday that literally...

2014 Opener! Lets See What You Got!

always got to love opener, despite being a little rusty i went 2 for 7. the fish were so aggressive they caught me off guard, had one follow my roe bag the entire distance of the pool, i lifted him the next drift, 2 drifts later he was on.

    How to use trout beads

i highly doubt 30 people have been charged for using beads, they more than likely had a big ol treble on the end or it was just a snagging rig with a bead some where on it. if you weren't allowed to keep a fish caught in the cheek than 75 percent of lake fisherman would all be in jail right now...

    taking the plunge

every time you cast a bait caster it is wearing out the brake, you will end up tightening it more and more until it will always be to tight or to loose. the dreg of a 100 dollar phleugar is twice that of a revo toro, mgx etc.. simpler design and not as compact is the reason id say. although bait...

    IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

most fisherman are lazy and will go to your typical parks and common holes. start where they are and wear your waders and just keep on walking up river till you find what your looking for.

    Small Creek Clean Up.

Good on you guys , be sure to check with the mnr with the fallen tree clean up. Fallen trees provide cover for the fish, but can also slow the river. Just make sure you are doing it in the fishes interest and not anglers interest

    Winterkill winter of 2013

theres a lot of factors to winter kill, what happens in those shallow lakes/ponds with no inflow/outflow is with the water being less than 5 feet deep carrys very little oxygen. and the dead weeds create no new oxygen and the dieing ones actually give off gas that bothers the fish. little lake...
