    Float fishing help

ive had salmon go 4 feet out of their way and slam flys and lures, but when it comes to roe bags in the shallows i just dont have any luck( they seem to just dodge the roe bag]. i notice if you get a big rain with fresh fish the jacks, and big males tend to hit roe a fair bit but can never seem...

    K9 fishing buddy

you got the right type of dog thats for sure, if you train german shepards with a firm hand they can almost do anything. the only thing id be concerned about is him chasing after bears, our neighbours old german shepard had no fear of animals what so ever, he would attack anything, porucpine's...

    Migratory browns

migratory browns are a strange stain of fish for sure... i have seen them in the rivers in augest, december and have heard of them caught at trout opener. can a resi spawn a migratory? can a migratory spawn a resi? when do they actualy spawn? do they follow salmon for their eggs, despite the...

    Float fishing help

fishing89, no offense but that is definitely a flossing rig. you wouldnt even see your float go down on a strike with all the slack line.

    Float fishing help

im going to have to respectfully disagree with you, it is incredibly unlikely that georgian bay salmon have developed a taste for roe more so than lake ontario chinook salmon. the more logical approach to your argument would be that less pressured fish are more likely to bite. despite fishing...

MNR crashing our fishery in front of our eye's?

as for pacific salmon i dont believe they do, you see the odd clipped fin but i think they are usually just strays. I had the chance to speak with one of the leading biologist's for the project and he said that the original lake ontario atlantic salmon evolved over century's. and that they have...

    Float fishing help

dont be fooled, most fish that come out of 3 feet of water are flossed. only way i have been able to take fish in the shallows is by twitching fly's, or spinners. salmon only seem to take roe in deep slow pools,

MNR crashing our fishery in front of our eye's?

sad eh, MNR been "working on finding a alternative for 5 years", what is so confusing about it lol. also funny how they say they appreciate the volunteers help meanwhile they are not helping as they are the ones doing all the damn work

MNR crashing our fishery in front of our eye's?

you made the right choice! i had one decent bow on in the morning, then i had 1 kid down river from me. calls some one on his phone next thing you know 6 kids show up out of the word works. start casting the same small pool im in and one starts whiping chum into it. and they were all float...

MNR crashing our fishery in front of our eye's?

was at bowmanville today it is disgusting, you cant even drift the big pool without snagging dead fish. there is literaly a pool of fish that is from people snagging them and swinging them into the shalows. a few spots the dead fish were so thick that the salmon were hiding behind them( some...

MNR crashing our fishery in front of our eye's?

the problem with atlantic's is that they dont populate like the west coast fish, many wild rivers with no damns, no pollution and only have runs of 100-200 fish, as soon as the season opened they would be slaughtered unless they had a only floating line with no weight on the fly rule. the post...

MNR crashing our fishery in front of our eye's?

im sure as most of you saw in the new's, MNR showing no concern for bowmanville fish, leaving them there to rot and die. the salmon are so thick in that area that oxygen levels begin to drop, the lower river fills with dead carcass resulting in a awful smell for fisherman and park users. also...

    SNAGGERS

unfortunately the difference is drastic, its not like a bacon vs pea meal bacon type thing.. the nutrients from the meat go into the eggs/sperm. and the fish is decomposing as it goes up the river, the flesh texture and color changes drastically as well.
