Nice one ... we hook into a couple of those a day . Like NADO said we slammed into a few on Saturday , the bottom does move in strange ways .

Frozenfire , I think you are right on the money . There are no barbels on the sides of the mouth and the dorsal is identical to a Buffalos . [The world record is 70.3 pounds .

Now , by no means is everyone right or wrong . That hen is most definately spawned out and sometimes they don't have the energy to make it back to the lake , sometimes the journey is too much for them to endure . Sometimes in rivers that are low and have warmed up have a very low disolved oxygen...

Only certain suckers produce that slime , I know what you mean it just won't come off no matter what . The Saugeen suckers are prime for that , it's like glue and snot mixed together...

Has it rained recently out that way to muddy up the water ? You'll have to connect with the eastern trib steelheaders to solve this one . Where I live , the rivers and the water up here are really clear and low .

Why is the water muddy ?

Everywhere could use some rain ... first there was too much moisture and now it's getting down right low .
