    Always killing

I do get your point however a lost cause, maybe?... in 30+ years I've yet to see a decline up that way and IMO the muskokas have been gone for decades... River fishing on the north shore of superior is just awesome and still thousands of lakes virtually untouched to be had. I can't see this...

When a huge fish breaks off my line, I try to take it with a grain of salt... Plus a slice of lime and a shot of tequila.

    Always killing

Well now that we've established that the g.t.a. is the center of the world, let me say that the fishery in southern Ontario would simply not exist without the provincial stocking program at least to a level worth mentioning due to population and other contributing factors. Year after year, stringer after stringer and I still catch fish steady all day long  ... I have not observed a decline instead a growing population...

    Salmon and leaders

was on a eastern ditch yesterday... normally I fish larger water out on the west and GB tribs for salmon... however they were extremely line shy, now I'm sure this has to do with the smaller body of water or something? From my experience on larger tribs this has not been the case within reason...

first time bow fishing bait advice

salmon egg's will no doubt work in the fall, hold on tight to that rod, as w_boughner stated that's whats in the water at that time... but for some reason have always had higher % strikes with rainbow roe, though doesn't make much sense to me as rainbow's spawn in the spring

What kind of rod to use for river fishing?

depends on how many people are on the river... both the pin (15'/13' 6") or the fly (11' 8.wt switch/ 9' 7.wt ) for me... again depends on the situation, don't like being labeled into a box... diversify... diversify... diversify...

    Wilson's Fly Shop

I remember when I bought my switch rod from them last February... The manager threw in 3 intruder and 2 general practitioner flies at 5.95 a piece on the house... Another time, I bought a spool of the S.A fly line, Skagit extreme, and a couple sink tips totaling somewhere in the ball park of...
