Oh I've been skunked a lot there, it's not magical =P. Maybe I'm just a noob lol but I think there's more to it catching pike than just the spot. Of course, I haven't figured it out yet *shrugs*

That's the spirit! I'm rootin' for ya! Also you could try rivers for suckers, they aren't half bad to fish for. I'd rather suckers than sunfish.

Thanks for the report wrdjackson! I haven't had success this season either, just 1 pike. About your line, I used to have 10lb mono spooled but I found it did not cast far enough for my liking. About what size/weight lures are you chucking?

LOL about the beaver. Everywhere I go there's this token beaver that makes my day. I haven't had much luck this season, just 1 pike on about 4 or 5 trips.

I've been there at least 4 times this past week. The first time I went I got a small maybe 3 lb pike, then nothing the rest of the times. =( I think I saw you out one night!
