    I use 8lb leader, I worry that its too little though as a lot of the premade leaders sold are like 20lbs edit: im not expert on fishing this way either, and am hoping to learn from this thread too, don't take anything I say as the proper way to do it

    saw a guy hook a nice sized one on a kwikfish, that's what gave me the idea I don't plan on casting it into pools with a bunch of guys drifting.. but if I get there earlier and get a nice pool to myself. then i'll try it out for sure.. i have a brand new spinning rod to try out. thanks guys...
