    Caledonia catch limits

So I've a noob to trout fishing. Thought I'd get that out there. I'm a little confused on the regulation for rainbow trout in the caledonia dam area. The limit is 2 rainbows but they out of season as it ends in September. Then another section of the reg say that caledonia has an extended season...

    Police Presence

The last 2/3 Fridays fishing in oakvillle river system i have met Halton Police, it seems like they are filling up the gap that the MNR is missing. They said just call the police next time you see an illegal poacher and report it, try and get a picture or plate number. By law a police officer is...

    Naming Rivers

It would be funny to make threads of disinformation. Basically making a couple posts, that outline specific spots that are absolute garbage, but talking about them as pure golden honey holes. If they wanna mess up our fishing outings, we can mess up theirs.

    Bronte Creek

Yeah ur tripping balls right now. Its shallow enough except in the pools to walk right out in knee high waders, even then guys were in the middle of pools only up to mid thigh level fishing. The picture make it seem like a torrent of water.

    Bronte Creek

My best guess is now a days, is that Bronte Creek is becoming quite packed. Some of the Poachers feel that others are encroaching on their territory. Seems they like to mark off their territory now. Its a nice grizzly reminder of what goes on down there. Reminds me of the title character...

First Salmon on my new Rod

Caught this one this afternoon at bronte. As you can see i'm a little more than happy about it. Only fell in twice trying to get it out, and our only net was a 7 inch long trout net. No more v card for me. My best guess is a Chinook salmon

    Fluorocarbon as mainline

I picked up some P-Line flouroclear i beleve it's called. It's a mono coated in a flouro resin shell. Basically it sinks like flouro and is really abrasive resistant, however its ties like mono so you dont need to run a leader. Food for thought

    Grindstone creek

A little while ago I was talking to some guys who mentioned that there were sizable salmon runs up grindstone creek in Hamilton. Does anybody have any experience with this? I now after sept 30 part of the creek becomes a sanctuary but the mouth of the river is still open. Not too sure if I'm...

    Bronte Pier fishing

Went tonight with a buddy. Threw 3/4 oz little Cleo spoons no takers. Couple people had fish on. Shoulder to shoulder until dark. It seemed the best luck were people who were throwing roe sacks with sinkers above. Salmon were definitely there lots of jumps. Anybody have some luck ?

    Saturday rain

Would today's rain be sufficient to draw the salmon into bronte creek (cool weather and all)? Or optionally would the rivers in whitemans creek be high enough for brook trout

Thanks For the help I ended up buying an 9'6" medium action for 89. I found any longer than 10 feet the rod was a little too whippy

    First TIme Steelhead/Salmon Rod

]Hey, so this is my first post on this forum. I've been fishing up in the the Kawartha Lakes all my life but its not until recently that i had taken up an interest in Brown Trout/Salmon/Rainbow/Steelheads etc. Through recommendations of my uncle, he mentioned i should invest in a Fenwick HMX...
