    I gotta rant...

Sad thing is, this guy might have actually believed he was helping. The world isn't just full of a holes, it's also full of ignorant, or just plain stupid people as well. And then there is all the possible variations in between, lol.

    Interesting River pics.. :)

I've always loved this pic of my boy fishing in the evening, 2 summers ago on Rainy River Native burial mounds near Long Sault Rapids High water rapids 2 mins from home This chased us off the water pretty fast. Gnarly storm approaching Shiner run. Pelicans taking full advantage...

    Saturday breakfast

Are you guys crazy? lol In NW Ontario, first choice of eats is crappie, followed by perch, then walleye. If your not eating perch, your really missing out. That plate of food looks like a killer good breakfast BTW!

    Fall crappie off the dock

It's what was originally in the barrel, that makes those spots so accessible! It's also keeps the place super secretive too! When everyone is too drunk to remember where they went, to get to the best fishing spots, lol

    Fall crappie off the dock

Its actually in Niagara Falls. Just look for the dock thats smashed to pieces, yeah, thats the one. Easiest way to get to the dock is by barrel! There is no pictures because the camera fell in the water, it gets a little rough out there!!!

Anyone use flurocarbon leaders for lures?

I do on occasion walleye fishing. It's a pretty short leader 14-16" but its not line to line, it's attached to my braid mainline by a quality barrel swivel. It's definitely not needed though. I still prefer running just straight braid. One thing you'll get with fluoro is more sensitivity(as...

    Pike boil

lol, thanks Blair! Filleting without bones is super easy, come on man!!!! I have kids, so for safety sake, it needs to be boneless. Plus I brought food the the local Native elders, in good gesture. If one of them choked on a bone, well, thats not good gesture, hahaha

    Pike boil

It was indeed tasty! To me it actually looks bland, but the flavors really come through with just a lil garlic, salt and pepper. I still have enough for one more feed to! I love the 5 fillet method! Lots of meat, zero bones http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3-GLr9bTXM

    Pike boil

Well, after a thread the other day about pike, I got a mean jonesing for a pike boil. So yesterday the kids and I went down to the river with some nice eaters in mind. Water was really dirty and cold. We fished the current seems in 6-8FOW, and a shallow rock break in the current that was...

    Lamprey

I'm no expert, but I don't think thats the case at all. When I started either snagging them, or having them attached to fish (in nw ontario), I called the MNR, took pics etc. They came down and looked, and said it was indeed native. I could be wrong here, but I believe it was sea lampreys they...
