    BEWARE OF BEARS

it's real, but not here, evidenced by the presence of brown bears

    Fresh River Cured Roe

Fishheads roe is all bomb. I picked up some brownie roe for this season and the fish have been hammering it. Great quality stuff

    Clipped Fish

We do get a good number of American strays coming up this way also. Not sure about Lake O because I don't fish it but I know Huron gets some Michigan-stocked chinooks coming in occasionally.

Looking for information about huron trib

He named a river, didn't really divulge any information, so why not say the geen? am i not allowed to use words like the notty, or the credit? lol I think perhaps the whole "don't name a river thing" gets lost on some people. No lurkers learned anything new in this thread, no harm.

    New to the Forum

Haha, hey Ty. I haven't been on the "other" site in ages... way too much garbage and just a bunch of whiners in general. And the drama.. Good to see ya again, and great video. You'll have to come up and fish the Notty with me some time, and likewise I'd love to get down your way and hit some...

    Questions about Kayak fishing

I feel like this is prohibitive advice. You don't need a $1500 Hobie kayak to fish out of. My first fishing kayak was a Clearwater Designs Tofino, made in Canada (Picton area), and I purchased from a local retailer for about $700 after taxes. Not only did I get a great deal on an amazing boat...

    Outting 5.0

That's a good thing dude.. ;) lol. I'm sure I must have seen you around at one time or another. You live in the beach? IMO there's really only one place I can think of that would be suitable to host a large group of guys/girls. It's fairly well known and it wouldn't be exposing anyone's hidden...

    Outting 5.0

the beaver is useless for anything post-september 30. unless you want to play catch the angler and fish with 9000 other dudes on ~1km stretch of water lol. both beaver and bighead are far better spring haunts than fall. notty is the opposite as it's usually blown to kingdom-come once the spring...

    Outting 5.0

the only stretches of the notty that close are way, way up. there's like 100+km of open, big-water river to fish year-round. depending on how big the group is, there are a few suitable spots in both lower and upper stretches. the run has been good this year so far.

    Snagger rehab.

Lots of pools on the waters I fish are 10ft + deep. Not a lake, nor the whirlpool

    Snagger rehab.

What kind of water are you fishing?? It's clear alot of guys in this thread (and in general, the entire forum) are fishing smaller, clearer waters where they can see the fish that they're targetting. If you can see the fish... it can see you. I've hit countless salmon in deep pools (meaning i...

    Salmon for the table

i fish gbay pretty well exclusively and all fish i've ever filleted have been red/orange/pink flesh. worth mentioning i don't harvest dirty old boots though lol

    What are your hobbies?

I fish quite a bit, but make lots of time for other things as well. Really depends on the season. All year round I powerlift and do crossfit. I cook alot and try to eat "paleo" most of the time so I'm always messing around with new recipes. I collect records and am a turntablist dj, so no mixing...

    Waders

honestly the freestones are great waders. like you i couldn't justify the $$ for the G series of wader and the goretex headwaters didn't really seem like anything special to me for the extra $150~ ish. i know a guy who bought some $500 patagonia waders and was convinced he had purchased the...

    Bass Pro Visit

tiago not sure exactly where you're located in the GTA but i'd be happy to head out with you and try to put you on to some fish. maybe we can link up some time soon? another great thing about the yaks - backcountry trips. a major reason i got the kayak vs. a tinner, in addition to the stuff you...

    Bass Pro Visit

thanks man! i really love it. i honestly cant believe i waited so long to even think about getting one. quite frankly it changed my life lol as i've never owned a boat and dont really plan on buying one any time soon. I actually picked up all of the scotty mounts at CT, i drove all the way down...

    Bass Pro Visit

yes that is the one i've got tiago. i just posted a couple pics in the "kayak fishing" thread.... http://www.ontariofishingforums.com/forum/topic/21376-kayak-fishing/#entry274186 In the pic with the two yaks mine is on the right hand side. I did exactly what you want to do, i mounted a scotty...

also worth mentioning that i use the elite4x exclusively on my kayak. good for really shallow water and just as good for deep stuff when fishing simcoe for lakers, etc.

    Bass Pro Visit

yes i was talking about the elite4x not the x4 pro. have not used the x4 pro so can't comment on it sorry
