The internet was screwed fishing down there. Ask any of the oldtimers and they'll tell you what it used to be like. The problem is people being informed, as there are probably 1000 people viewing this right now.

The lower gets lake O fish, they spawn, not sure of success rate, if any. I use 8 and 11g floats. Experiment with shot patterns, judging by flow and clarity. River is a tough fish until you know it, expect lots of skunks to start.

The blue wood on that handle goes along way with those reels Majstor 8). Very nice pics as usual.

Take the spool off and give it a wipe down, you may find particles in crucial spots like between the spool and backplate. Put it back together, spin it, if it doesn't help you're probably gonna have to go deeper, into the bearings.

That doesn't sound right. Take the spool off and put it back on straight with the clicker disengaged. Maybe I don't understand the problem fully but if it had decent tolerances before line it's not gonna get worse by putting line on. Did you take the reel apart, push the spool down at an angle, etc?

I have used both electrical and hockey tape. But I hate rings so I try not to use the rods with them .
