    Whats your favorite place to fish?

    Long Point Bay and Port Maitland/Dunnville-as only about 30 minutes from Hamilton yet good pike,walleyes smallies/lM bass and panfish galore.Even from the shore fishing was often very good-a boat(inflatable at first,opened upa new world of angling possibilities)

    On the Grand river The Caledonia Dam is good but try driving down highway 3 for about 20 mins to Dunnville.Near the dam and off the island;have always fished there for walleye and smallies but often the sheepshead and channel cats are quite willing to bite.I have heard that there are flathead...

    Teaser for spring crappie!!!

    What can I say...fisherman do tend to exaggerate and those 2 guys that I stopped and chatted with years ago did have a nice good size pike already on the stringer (5-7 lbs maybe)-they said they have caught pike twice as big.Their English wasn't very good and so really couln't press them on...

    Rapala Pro Fishing Game For PC-Must play

    That reminds me....I got the In-Fisherman PC game about 2 Christmases ago-and have yet to play it-I have always loved their magazines and books and if the game/simulation is up to their usual standards,it should be good. :mrgreen:

    Which fish you like the best to eat.

    Re: Which fisk you like the best to eat. Perch and Northern Pike-although LM/SM Bass and catfish are quite good-as with all freshwater fish i found that filleting not mere pan -dressing the fish gets the best results. :mrgreen:

    LOOKING FOR NEW FISHING HOLE

    Try Valens Conservation Area off Highway 97-excellent pike and LM bass -good Bluegills too.Used to go there alot when i lived in Hamilton.lost my 2 biggest pike there due to not having wire leader going after Lm bass.Haven't been in a few years though-hope it's still good. :mrgreen:

    BTW question for snypa:I live in Stouffville now and I 've been to Lake Wilcox(nothing yet -hearing that there was possibility of good pike(and LM bass) being so close to the city.Did you lose it being broken off by a pike or lost it in snags.Also where can you fish on shore?- near the beach or...
