i just love the fight of the pike next to the trout of course. i love the pike because it doesn't seem to serface. so, its hard to judge the size. i've never caught a muskie. how is the fight?

after cambridge towards paris I've had good luck there all up the river. i find using a spinner or a jig your choice of grub/shad. either works like a charm. when using the spinner you might get a nice supprize a speckled trout, there in there.

I live in Guelph and Guelph lake hasn't produced what it has before. i would sugest lake belwood just near Furgus. Pke, large mouth, perch,cat......just saying

They tend to stay in the shade. in my personal expereance an 6 inch plastic worm texas rigged. "weedless" . then plop it in and barly wiggle it. next on hit list is the spinner bait bay fay a all around great lure.

the smallie was 20 1/2 inch, so the pike was 24-26 inch not bad for a river pike.

i'm his brother, amazing time! my son and I scouted the river the day before. seeing the smallies in there we had to come back. only had two hour for the scouting trip. that pike i was not expecting at all. can't wait to go farther. there are lare mouths in there also caught one the year before...
