    2014 Opener! Lets See What You Got!

    They'll be healing in the lake, when there's nothing rubbing on them. Look at the fish in the grocery stores, their fins and tails are usually frayed because they are raised in tight quarters and rub up against each other. When they get back to open water, it will all grow back.

    Hehe thats fine. I was east. The fish were not in the main current...they were close within a few feet of the bank.

    my local trib was raging this weekend up about 3 feet. but if you could find some soft water, the fish were there. lots of hits and no people :)

    Grand mooneye fishing

    mooneye and goldeye are available in the prairie provinces as cold smoked fish. They are pretty good when served that way. Otherwise, kind of mushy because the meat is soft and a bit oily.

    What do you prefer to fish...Salmon or Steelhead?

    On the west coast, Coho are the hardest fighters, pound for pound. Chinooks are most prized because of massive size and power. With no riverbanks to contain him, your arms will be burning! That said, fresh steelhead sure are just beautiful!
