    Worm harnesess

Your telling me, I use YouTube for all my tv viewing in my room. Countless hours watching videos on anything, and everything. Currently on a lead ingot/custom lead Molds phase, but also been watching a ton of vids on hand carving wood. I'm about half way through a whitefish carving, a ton of...

    Worm harnesess

I usually grab my stuff for them from fishing world in Hamilton, but have in a pinch grabbed the kit at sail for $12.99. Which makes about 10 harnesses, or a bit more depending on how many blades you use. If your going to build them, it's much cheaper to buy all the supplies bulk, watch a couple...

How to properly handle a catfish?

Couldn't give you a truthful answer, I would assume it's bacteria you have to worry about. The barbs are very jagged bones, basically a defence mechanism. I'm sure you can find the answer online somewhere, maybe Wikipedia?

How to properly handle a catfish?

Quick tip for cleaning, cut the skin behind the catfishes head all the way around. Once you cut the full circle, grab a set of pliers an pull on the skin. Comes off like a sock, all in one shot. Super handy way of cleaning them

How to properly handle a catfish?

I grew up with a catfish pong in my backyard as a kid, literally. Got barbed many times learning, it stings for a little while. No where near two days, unless you get a super deep gash. I did hear an old wives tale that if you rub the tail of the catfish over the barbed area it takes the sting...

Converting a Hummingbird 176i to ice fishing.

That should work, I've done the same with aluminum or wood in a pinch myself. You may have to adjust the transducer angle while on the ice, to get the beam angled down properly. Also, if this wasn't a portable unit to start with, make sure you put an inline fuse between the head unit, and the...

    Who's ready for hardwater?

My bad Diana, didn't mean to not include you in the last post! Hopefully we can all do a group meet, or at the very least meet up a few times this year for those who can swing it. Between us all, we could have a hell of a village out there!

    Who's ready for hardwater?

Absolutely guys, couldn't come soon enough. As far as the perch goes they are fun, but nothing beats the whities or lakers in 90+ft of water! Lol I wish uploading wasn't such a pain, I have a ton of hard water pics from last season.

    Who's ready for hardwater?

So I'm curious, anyone else itching for hardwater? I've been making my custom tipdowns, and dusting off my gear. Cannot wait for the upcoming season, hope I've figured out how to attach pictures. Fingers crossed...

    Trolling!!

Anytime I'm fishing a new body of water, regardless of what I'm fishing for I use the old fashioned drift method of theirs any wind present. Run a fish finder, Mark off any structure changes/drop offs that maybe holding fish. You also get a feel for any dead heads, or shallow rocks. After a...

Any experience walleye angler looking to fish from boat?

I do t want to say too much, as this is a public forum. Do a search online, or on fb for Hamilton harbour stocking of the golden bars. Surprising they are catching fish steady at night off shore, and these are not small fish. Would I keep one, absolutely not. That being said, it's nice to night...

Any experience walleye angler looking to fish from boat?

Damn, rough day but at least you got out on the water. I grew up just outside of picton, and fished big island, BOQ, and the deseronto telegraph narrows until I left at 18. Tons of great spots down that way for sure, as for rice. I heard it's not what it once was, sucks but hopefully it will...

Any experience walleye angler looking to fish from boat?

Hey frank25, I grew up fishing BOQ, and have quite a bit of experience with walleye fishing from a boat. Have all the gear from bottom bouncers, jiggin, trolling, and even slip bobber fishing them. I live in Hamilton now, and have a couple spots that are semi local that hold the gold bars. If...
