    That's the one, I was using size 8 hooks probably. Not really sure since we lost the few we had on us, we were going for bass first so we only had 4 and 6 lb leaders on hehe. Any size should work but keep them nice and fluffy, the carp probably see it as a big juicy piece of bread or.. whatever...

    Was it a shad? I caught one a while back and had no idea what it was, silver with a bit of blue and it's head looked like a trout.

    I don't personally fish for them but I've only ever seen them caught around sunset and after dark so about 9pm and after.

    Springbank park is good for alot of bass and sometimes some walleye. The forks of the thames (where the big fountain is) is also a great spot for carp, catfish, walleye, bass, gar pike, everything.
