The Canadian Tire here in Oshawa sells fishing licences...never heard of CTC not having them available... I use only plastic worms, been several years since used real ones and have actually caught more fish with the plastic - mainly due to them lasting longer. You can rig them in more ways also.

I got an Abu Garcia baitcaster combo at Canadian Tire last year...it was the Ambassadeur low profile and a medium action one piece 6 foot rod. The ticket was $99. I am still working on learning to use it, but no complaints about the set up other than maybe the one piece rod is a bit of a pain...

I just came across a classified ad, where the guy has a 12 foot aluminum with a 15 HP on it, an electric motor at the bow, has 2 swivel seats and a casting platform at the bow....I have a 12 footer and have a hard time imagining being able to fit all that stuff into one! It looks like the stern...

well thats good to know guys, thanks, cuz I'm not gonna bother with getting another stupid permit! There is plenty of other places tthat are just as good or better...no extra permit required. I can understand the reason for it , I guess, for you have to understand the rules when dealing with...

I was looking at those hair things too, but I like the black rubber rings cuz they are tougher and won't break in the heat the action. With the rubber rings you really get your money's worth out of a single worm!

Some of those Water Skeeters I seen on the BPS link that Toober posted, have standing platforms on them. Its nice and all, but wow, the price tag is getting up there for a one man rig! As far as assembly and storage, it would prolly take a trip to Bass Pro Shop to see them and maybe see if...

Thanks Toober! Thats just what I was thinking of....I had considered a tube also but think I would prefer to be sitting up higher out of the water for a better view. I also notice some models have a standing platform...thats the real cats patutie!

I have passed over Scugog River many times while going across 7 and I want to make it a point to get my boat into there this summer, it just looks like such a great stretch to fish. My question is..is there a public access to put in your boat along that stretch between Hwy 7 and Lake Scugog...
