All I'm saying is he knows steelhead fishing, just because he doesnt know anything RE: current gear doesn't discredit his knowledge of chasing steelhead. Hes got gray hairs, gotta be careful of those folks more so than the guy decked out with the 2019 Simms Auburn Brown Pro Series Summer line...

I've caught brookies off HWY 60 lakes in Spring, not 5 lbers but a few that were 2lbers so ya, there is hope. And bring the jacket and bug dope. Get experience and assemble a team, go deep into the bush. Those little back lakes are just nuts if ya get 'em right.
