    Kawartha Small Lake Pike Fishing

Id stick to the spinner-baits and maybe a william wabler here and there. Trolling rapalas is always a good way to locate like said above. Stay outside the weeds and try to mark or keep track of which weedbeds are active and which arent.

    Walleye: Your favorite Tactic

Love the cotton cordel also for fishing walleye and bass, little guy seems to always land something. For just walleye Like throwing on the erie derie with a crawler off the back, worm harnesses of course are a favourite. Pink and white twisters are nice to knock off the bottom along shallow...

    Need Help With Pike Fishing

"I sort of disagree with the live bait thing, I hook it in the back (but avoid the spine) and it'll swim slower and tire out more. Many baits try to imitate an injured baitfish and a live minnow hooked in the back achieves this. The bigger minnows tend to live long and are really active for the...

    Need Help With Pike Fishing

Id be searching for big weed beds as soon as you get there and get to the edge and work your way around. Ive never been big on live bait for pike fishing but everyone has there own ideas. Reason I say this is because if your chasing bait fish around and fishing where the baitfish is, you have a...

Should I be letting the carp go? what are your views

Id have to agree that it isnt going to make a difference if you kill 70 carp a year, there is still going to be just as many next year. The ministry has regulations about killing gobies and not throwing them back so if our water was in jeopardy from carp Im sure they would come up with a...

    lure/bait recommendation

I like to jig gulp black magic gobies on a weedless hook with the spring at the head(kind that your screw the plastic's on to) this way they can just rip through the weeds very easily and the bass hit them like crazy. If its lilly pads or too dense for a weedless hook then the top water is the...
