I'm from Scarborough too ! Birchmount rd & Ellesmere. I have a trailer up on Chemong Lake (Chemung as the natives call it), so thats where I fish mostly in the summer. My sleeper hut goes out on Simcoe for the hard water. The spring and fall is time spent hitting the tribs from here to bowmanville.

I will second what Efka said . LeBarons for the waders and walmart for a cheap pair of hiking boots . Buy the hiking boots 1 size larger then you normaly take.
