I ended up fishing in the rain last weekend at a local place I've been fishing. I was skunked but friends using small roe bags were getting little rainbows all morning. The only thing is all my gear smells now since I didn't dry them out properly. My car actually really stinks now.

My friends father always brings home the limit on bass on his sport license and he goes every few days. It kind of pisses me off but whatever, I just won't go fishing with him. He asked to join me a couple of times but I respectfully declined.

BPS guys are nice for the most part but I've had the worst customer service from a two of the guys by the fishing reels area. 1. One guy apparently acts part time, is a pro bass tournament fisherman, doesn't fly fish, won't fish for trout because it's a waste of his time. This all came out...

I work in Vaughan and if I had to choose between BP or Sail I would pick Sail. BP's Fly Fishing department is quite sad everytime I go in there. It seems the guys are just hating life and don't even want to serve me. The reel departments isn't much better, asked the guy what he recommended...

Has anyone been to Markham pond 28? I took a trek down there this morning and didn't catch anything although the pond looks very decent. I suck at casting my fly rod so that could have been the problem. No real access to parking so I had to walk like 15 min to get back to the pond.

Might give it a try sometime, I can't cast very far with my fly rod just yet but I'd give it a go if I can do it on shore or get him to bring that boat not inflated and inflate it near the water.

Were you just casting off the shore? I've been there with a friend but we normally launch his boat somewhere but he told me the roads closed so we haven't been back.
