Fishing tonight with SenkoKing at Percy Boom. The clouds rolled in, sprinkled us with rain, and then left us with this beautiful double rainbow, and a few fish for good measure.

Comment by 'DavidASmith57' in media 'Squid'

Thanks iJay... I have used squid on many occasions for grouper and even caught a small shark on squid once, but my favourite use for squid is Calamari :)

Need to buy a new rod, opinions please.

About 5 years ago I purchased my first of 7 Fenwick rods. After years of continuous use several of my rod guides broke off. I can hardly tell you how nice it was to hear the words "I'm sorry our rod let you down. We will be pleased to send you a replacement rod". Since they no longer made the...

    Boat Rentals around Cooks Bay

Hope I'm posting in the right place... I haven't yet ventured to Lake Simcoe but am considering taking a group of guys and some of their family out to Cooks Bay for 1/2 day fishing. We are looking to rent about six or more boats, some may bring their own boats, and fish from say 8-12 on a...

    Serenity

We have all had those moments when we look out over the water and say "What did I ever do to deserve this?" ... Fishing is neither a right or a duty, but a privilege and blessing.

    5.5 lbs

Another nice evening bass that danced across the surface and ended up in my hand ... we both parted as friends and I haven't seen him since!
  9. Hard to Beat

    Hard to Beat

Pretty hard to beat a night fishing on the water. Especially when it's this calm.
  10. A Good Night On The Water

A Good Night On The Water

16 nice fillets for fish fry nights. This was caught by two of us with Sport Fishing Licences. We also managed to catch a Muskie, and a bunch of rock bass, small mouths, and perch that we released (in case someone was wondering). Sometimes release them all, sometimes keep one or two, and...

    My Daughter Eli

Just like the boys, the girls need to be able to bait their own hook, take off their own fish, and know how to clean them before leaving home ... Well we are still working on this, but enjoying the journey together!

    Man's Best Friend

This girl loves to fish with me and usually runs down the dock and hops right in for a night on the water. Only got sea sick once and knows where to cool off when needed.
  13. A Sweet Ride

    A Sweet Ride

This girl is a 1973 (40 yr old) Starcraft Bowrider that I stripped out and converted for fishing. Actually joined the official "Tri-Hull" Boatclub and we share stories. Even though you need a mouthgaurd, dental insurance, and a kidney belt when the water is rough, she always brings me...

    6 lb Bass

I've managed to catch several 6 lb bass lately and this is one of them.
  15. Holy Mackerel Batman!

    Holy Mackerel Batman!

Always wanted to go to the coast and catch Mackerel. I used a rig called "Feathers" that had 5 or 6 feather with hooks on the line and when I cast it out during high tide there were 5 fish in the same line. Very cool!
  16. Squid

    Squid

Ok... I didn't catch this in Ontario but rather the East Coast. One of the strangest things ever, and they really do squirt blue dye.
  17. The Biggest Pickerel/Walleye I ever caught

The Biggest Pickerel/Walleye I ever caught

I guess the reason I love Pickerel is because they are the largest member of the perch family. I grew up on perch with fish fry's almost every Friday night. This one was close to 10 lbs.
  18. Great Northern Pike

    Great Northern Pike

No Wonder they call them "Great"... what a beautiful and majestic fish they are. Not a good idea to put your fingers in their mouth son!

This was Jesus invitation to His followers and I've been following Him both on and off the water since I committed my life to serve Him in 1982.
