    Shipping fish recommendations

In case anyone has a similar trip planned, a hard-sided cooler worked great :) The blue coleman from Walmart fit the linear dimensions for checked in baggage, cost less than $30 and when loaded was 50lbs (baggage weight limit).

    Shipping fish recommendations

Hey All I get to go back to N. Van island this August and hoping to get into springs, lings, and buts! Question is...anyone have any recommendations for shipping? Anything shipped would be frozen at -20 and vacuum packed so I would expect it to withstand a couple of days. Cheers

    Roe Boycott

There are quite a few intertwined topics in this thread, the main argument being: people that use roe are the reason that numbers are down, with the ultimate goal of increasing numbers of fish to catch. To me this sounds like blaming one group or another for diminishing returns...its the meat...

2016 SE Asia - Komodo and Bali

At least you have evidence of the lifestyle you are used to when you get to negotiations with the future wife! lol I didn't know that wahoo were among the fastest swimmers but I know that they hit and destroy muskie baits :)

Anyone checked out the Canadian Tire in-store clearance lately? Good prices on outdoors and fishing stuff. I picked up a float tube 70% off and fishfinder about 50% off. Merry Christmas to me :)

    Brookies!

The stocking lists are great. I'm not gonna lie though, hiking in the spring is more like running from the bugs. I believe if a lake is stocked, it means there has to be public access somewhere to it. Google maps is your friend in this case to find access roads. But some trails you definitely...

    Brookies!

Well with the skinny water all over and warm temps I haven't been able to chase steel as much as I would like. So I decided to avoid the combat fishing last weekend and go for a hike into a stocked lake. Boy was that a good idea. I caught a few, lost a few, and it was pretty cool to see a them...

    Salmon Kwikfish Bite

I would add that when theyre in an aggressive mood it seems they want to kill anything in their space. A few weeks back I even had one chomp on my float and not let go.

    WTB 14' canoe

Should be about 60lbs or under. Square stern is preferable for optional motor. Mostly will be soloed but will also need to occasionally accomodate the wife so it needs to be stable. Budgeting about $800

Started watching WFN with the free preview this month but haven't been as interested as I thought I would be. For those of you that subscribe, what shows would you recommend?

    So WHAT is ethical?

The law is clear on this. Your own conscience should guide you in my opinion. I like my steaks rare. Even if it offends the vegans.
