    Norton place park fishing

The Rock Bass population in Norton seems to be on the upswing. That being said, the security that the city hired for the new rec centre are down right nasty if they catch you parking your car. I have been harassed several times. One night the old guy was waiting at my car. Gotta love urban...

    Bass Opener!

I was targeting Crappie at Professors Lake this evening and could not get over the size of the Bass that are cruising around the drop off. I'm estimating some of them to be 7-8lb. I will be starting my Bass season at Lake Simcoe, but Professors Lake will be my urban Bass fishing home this year!

    Winterkill winter of 2013

Went to Loafers Lake in Brampton and there is at least 100-200 dead fish around the shore and island.. LMB, Crappie, Carp, Brown Bullhead... Very sad to see.

    Winterkill winter of 2013

A few of my spots in Brampton aren't showing any signs of winter kill. The ice has only melted out a few feet, though.

    GTA fishing spots recommendations

Crappie, Perch, Catfish and Carp. Hopefully my ponds are free of ice by the weekend.

    Norton place park fishing

I've fished Norton since I was a kid. Other than Sunfish and Carp/Koi, there is nothing there to legally catch until Bass season opens in late June. There are only a few Bluegill and Rock Bass left (People taking them to eat), so you'd mainly be targeting Pumpikinseed and Carp in the spring...
