Nice thing about Kenora is that it is mainly lakes, and from what I understand it's pretty is easy to gain access to them with a boat or canoe. Which ones hold musky??? Might need to contact some of the locals or do some further on-line research. Good luck!

I purchased the Fenwick HMG with a Sedona 2500FD from SAIL for about $160 on boxing day. Love the rod and reel. Mine is the 6'9 version, believe you can get the 1 piece in them. My vote goes to Fenwick.

I would agree with what you did. Safety and environmental friendless needs to come first. On a side note, several Ocean species use and rely on garbage to make shelters and give them safety from predators.
