Ive heard alder lake in New Dundee has pike from a local... said it was a few years back though. I know a huge carp die off happened (did not affect the bass,sunfish, etc, "apparently") so that shouldnt affect pike if they are in there..? does anybody have confirmation there are?

I am going to try a fluorocarbon leader for pike fishing, but I am not really sure which brand to go with. Does anyone have experience with these two brands? Are there any better ones? I am open to any suggestions. The main thing I am worried about is how well they will stand up to teeth. Thanks.

caught a 6lbs(5lbs 10oz) 31 inch pike in lake Wilcox. on my kayak, on Sat 16 june 2018. Anybody got any fish from this lake? love to know whats down there?! seems like a big fish for such a small/pressured lake.

I was able to get out to Shades Mill in Cambridge last weekend and we had 12" of ice. About 1-2 inches on top were not the best but solid clear ice the rest.
