Conservation officers catch two male grass carp, seen as a serious threat to the Great Lakes, in Tommy Thompson Park. The hunt’s on for more.

The article also says that 3 Asian carp have been found in the Grand River since 2012. Hopefully they haven't found their way into the lake already.

hope we can avid these suckers but from the sounds of it we may end up with them at some point.

did some reading and apparently they are good eating and many are suggest to change the name so they sound more appetizing to people so a fishery can be made out of them. I like the idea, ie target hem as a food source as a way to at least keep the populations down. And no i don't want them here, but hey might as well think of ways to limit the damage by at least targeting them and having a no limits on how much you can keep and mandated you keep them if caught.

Grass carp - still a threat however not as bad as the bighead / silver.
