maybee, charter boats were way out there, but there coud be a few close by u never know. i'll try again next week. In 2 weeks i might try Port Dalhousie i have way better luck down there.

I hear Port Dal gets really busy. You ever go on weekdays? What's it like compared to Port Credit?

lot more people lol. i only go on weekends maybee thats why. I just like it down there better its where i hooked my first salmon of pier as well. U never u know what u gonna get at night time hooked a few pike while castin out for salmon.

i dont know how some people are able to go everyday. i can understand if they dont work or work seasonal. but sometimes you look at some that look like they fish while they are making money somehow

Go figure, because my first salmon of last year was mid August, in bright sunshine 11 am to be exact. Next to last cast and water was clear.
20 lb female bright silver hit a orange J13.

Thats funny because last year in mid sept. I caught a 10lbs coho around 11am full sunshine too. On a spoon. Maybe because I also prefer a baitcaster to fish lol

I use a Revo Winch with a St. Croix 9 1/2 ft Avid casting rod. Mikey Mikey recognized me because not many use a baitcaster. I prefer it to a spinning reel.
Be out probably Sunday morning come on over if your are there.

I remember many years back when I first started salmon fishing from pier. I can't remember how I got started... but anyways...

If I remember correctly... back than rocks at credit was fairly empty... because I didn't know any better and fished during sunny hours... and that is when i've caught my first several fishes.

So sure... timing must be good but during peak... I say just get out there any time you can and put down some hours.

Also, those people that you see there everytime you go there must be locals, right? If I leave near by I would fish almost everyday too.

Update:
I've fished both monday & tuesday morning.
Result? Nothing!
What I did notice tuesday morning was that... there was some what clear seperation of slightly browned water flowing down from river to more open area.

It sure was nice being out side.


By the way, DAMNED people need to pick up their DAMNED cups, cans and etc... and put it in to the DAMNED garbage bin.
HOW F****'ED AND HOW LAZY DO YOU NEED TO BE NOT TO TAKE YOUR F***ING GARBAGE AND PLACE IT IN TO GARBAGE BIN? ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE ARE TRASH BINS ALL OVER PARK AND FEW ALONG THE WALK BACK TO YOUR DAMNED VEHICLE? F**K SAKES!! (and you better bring your own F***KING net cause A'HOLE like you won't be using my net!)

Was at bronte last night, my buddy hooked one but as soon as it jumped it spit out his hook. But other than that there was nothing.
