2011 Rice Lake Bass Recap

I had a great one on the line from the shore when i was pan fishing at rice. I almost reeled him in when he went under a bed of seaweed and snapped the line. I was quite disappointed because it would of been my first decent sized bass of 2012.

Hey diggy! here are some of the monsters I caught on rice lake. The first big one was on a tube in about 11 ft of water off the point of an island near meril road. It was just over 9 lbs and caught in 2011. The 2nd picture with the 2 bass are what my gf and I caught fishing with sincos in shallow lily pad water in the indian river. They came out at 5 1/2 and 6 3/4 lbs. PS diggy, I was fishing for bass the other day and I put up a post in the channel cat and carp section about catching 8 monster carp fishing for bass with Tubes. Check it out!

Thanks Blair! These mounts were pretty pricey but I could not resist putting the big bass on the wall. I got such a thrill from seeing it on my wall every night before I went to bed ahahah! Well that thrill lead me to put these other 2 up on the wall.(the one of my gf's I normally would not put up on the wall but it was an historic day for us as for her birthday 3 days prior to the trip up on Rice Lake I bought her the little girly pink rod! She doesn't do too much fishing so it was just a great day!)

FYI ALL OF THESE CATCHES WERE ACTUALLY RELEASED! I had taken plenty of pictures of these fish and handed them to the taxidermist to replicate the fish. I was disappointed when I got back the single 9 lbs bass because it was actually smaller than the real deal. That being said I was still happy to know that all these amazing fish are hopefully still lurking the waters of Rice Lake!
