Hey OFF! It has been a while since I have posted but lately it has been really busy on my end. I had the pleasure of fishing the Fed Cup event this weekend out of Belleville Ontario. The event was held by the CBAF. I fished as a non boater both days. On day one I fished with a very well known and fellow St.Croix pro staff member, Mike Brown. We fished for strictly largemouth for the day and to be honest that man was a blast to fish with. It was non stop fun and I learned quite a lot from an angler who has FLW experience. We weighed in 5 largemouth for 17.46 pounds and the biggest was just shy of 5. Day two I fished with Matt Pezzetta. A young Okuma Pro Staff who took a run out far from blast off to locate some bronzebacks! Within 5 minutes of being at the first spot I pulled a 4 pounder off a topwater bait. We knew that some fish were there but being a bit finicky so we took off to our next spot. Overall we put 18.65 pounds of smallmouth in the boat. 1 5 pounder and 3 4 pounders but we could not get rid of the small 2 pounder we had in the boat. Out of 90 boats I managed to land into 14th place and I could not have been happier. Bonus for me was seeing that my girlfriend,Cabela's Pro Staff Becky Gardhouse, landed big fish of the tournament weighing in at 6.41 Pounds.
