With the warmer weather yesterday I was hoping for a great day with a few cooperative fish. After getting stuck while trying to park on the ice I was off to a bit of a late start, got everything loaded on the frankensmitty and I was off. Holes drilled and line down in 90fow by 8:30. Within the first few minutes I have a few chasers on the screen and 10 minutes later I iced the first fish of the day. Things are looking good so after the first few fish I decided to try getting a few video's. I was sure wishing I brought the 8" auger today as the 6" was difficult to work with at times, I was hoping to bring a few home for the smoker but all that showed up were the big naturals. Don't mind the brutal narration, I was trying to add in some audio to make it more like a fishing show but I think I need to work on that part a little bit lol.
This one was pretty funny, I didnt get the camera going until the end of the fight. As I was trying to get the fish in the hole it just wouldn't budge through and you can hear me say "it's not going to fit!" lol. Once I got the head in the hole it did fit but I had to pull it pretty hard the whole way through. Then on the release I can't figure out why its not swimming away, the tail is moving but the fish isnt going anywhere. Turns out it was a little too fat to swim away and needed a push!

This fish was even bigger and luckily this time I got the camera rolling a bit earlier in the fight.
