I have already spoken to many of you... so this is a late intro!
We just bought our house on the Saugeen River last year, and have had great success with Bass & Pike fishing in the Saugeen River.
We don't live too far from Lake Huron though... anyone fish on Lake Huron? Good stories?

To this point I have loved and been dedicated to fishing bass/pike/trout with spin reels... I am now interested in Salmon fishing and learning to use Fly and Baitcast Reels... I've already learned lots from you fisherPEOPLE

Be happy to share some info with you on the Saugeen even...

Welcome

Welcome to the site. I dont fish too much on Lake Huron, but have been fishing the Saugeen since I've started fishing. I would have to say it is one of the most diverse ecosystems out there, with salmon, rainbow runs, huge smallies, and pike and musky in certain locations. The spring and fall runs of steelheads this past year were phenomenal. Which section of the Saugeen do you live on? You may have an opportunity to do some back yard fishing coming up :)

Well, all I will say is that I do not live in Southampton... so, not the prime Saugeen fishing location. But, lots of bass/pike/trout in my area. We did just buy a small 9ft fiberglass boat with a trolling motor on it though, so looking forward to fishing more of the Saugeen this year. :)

Welcome aboard, you will fall n love with the Saugeen in a few months and those beautiful, silver looking trout  See ya on the river and welcome aboard :)
