It's winter and many of us don't have current fishing stories to share. So here is one you might find a little interesting.

You know how CT has great sales. A few years ago I bought these size 10 waders from CT for half off, which was only $35. It was the last one:

Well when I got home and opened the box, I found completely different waders. They were brown instead of green. And a different and better material. Different manufacturer.

I took them completely out of the box and discovered that they were actually size 13. And that's not all. They were actually used! The soles were completely covered in dried up mud and grass.

So I brought them back and got a refund and they told me that the next closest store had a couple available in my size so it all worked out in the end.

CT often takes things back no questions asked. Just like Walmart. The customer is always right. But sometimes the customer is wrong and in this case, they got duped. Well I assume something like that happened.

That's wierd! One thing I know about prepackaged clothes rain suits waders ect.. You got to try that stuff on before buying whatever size you are. Ryhmobot says he is size 10 I have learn 10 is not alway size 10 a large is not alway large. CT and other places are half assed when it come to clothes.

Yup. I had hip waders from CT before that from the same company and so I knew the shoe size would fit the same. Other than that, I always try on stuff first no matter what. Even underwear. JK.

However, I now own three pairs of waders, all from the same company. Because I upgraded to size 11 two years ago when it was again on sale. Tried those on first though! I was tired of having my feet crushed when I was wading 3 feet of water or more due to water pressure. Now my gf can wear the smaller ones or my cousin who I have gotten into fishing the past couple years.

Similar ordeal happened to me when I bought a booster pack a few weeks ago. Got it home, opened the box and a cheaper model was inside the box. Someone must have swapped it in the store before purchasing. I'm glad they have the no questions asked policy as I felt pretty suspicious walking up to the return desk.

And that's one reason why I don't buy small appliances like coffee makers, blenders at CT. I'm always paranoid that someone cleans up a 3month old and swap with a brand new one and sometimes you will never know. It's not like it doesn't happen anywhere but with that policy. It's too easy for scammers.
