I hooked two good sized carp while ice fishing last year with minnows, didnt stand a chance at landing them with my 4lb line and berkley ice rod lol.

I was fishing tiny catfishes for fun once at too good pond and to my surprise a giant carp struck as well. My biggest and so far climax of my fishing career but I was a kid then. The fish got away and broke line after swimming under a log

Great read, I have yet to catch a carp but I might rig myself up that hair jig this weekend or on the long weekend just to see what happens. Cheers.

I was sight fishing for carp with an unweighted doughball, missed my cast and cranking back the hunk of Wonderbread over a weed mat I had a 18" bass blow up on it.
Used to pick up bass all the time on roe bags drifting the mouth of Jordan.

Heh this summer I was casting around Hamilton Harbour for sheepshead and picked up a 30" steelhead, that was fun.
