Hey all,

I need more information on my 2001 adcock stanton 4.5" black with 3/16" spindle centre pin reel, solid piece of art i might add. anyone know what the stock bearing system is? and is it worth buying the abec 7 that they sell and upgrade it? will it make a huge difference in the start up inertia? or how well it moves in frogwater?

also i can see a slight wobble when it spins, still goes for 3 minutes, but i rather fix it. i could use some help on reading on how to fix these kind of things. tips or information appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No idea.
I just want to see a pic!

If its got a wobble you could be screwed.
Could be a bent pin or knocked out of square.

Sometimes a wobble can just be a slightly bent spool, which shouldn't effect performance too much.

Clean the bearings and re-oil with a very light oil and then re-evaluate the start-up.

picture are where i posted my pictures from yesterday, on the ultimate photo thread.

I cleaned it up and so on, it does not effect the performance, but b because i use a thicker line, some times in gets caught in the cap and i have to throw out that line, cause it semi cuts it.

But i do think i messed up my reel a bit last night trying to improve it. went from spinning 3 minutes to 55 seconds, but the initial start up was amazing yesterday before all the mess with the sand lol.
