Advice for finding Crappie and other panfish?

I had a great day fishing for panfish in brampton the other day, and I want to do it some more. The only thing is, I dont want to have to drive all the way to brampton to do it (I live in Oakville). So does anyone have any suggestions for finding these little guys? I was out at Port Credit around 4:30 this morning hitting the rocky areas along the park. I saw lots of little minnows and suckers but nothing else. Then I went to a creek I know nearby and again had no luck.

Any experienced panfishers want to help me out? I hate having to drive out for an hour when I hear about all this fishing that is happening in my area. Thanks.
